Hello Heroes!

Funding has been reached, the road is now open, the next 3 weeks will be full of Stretch Goals and surprises for you!


But first, let me introduce you to our new Hero,  the mercenary known as "Il Mediceo"!

The amazing Mediceo sculpt!

Nobody knows the real name of this Mercenary, and very few have seen his face.

Since he has been seen serving the Medici family in Florence, the other mercenaries gave him the nickname of Mediceo ... not always with a positive accent!


The Mediceo has carried out dozens of missions for Florence and has always returned as a winner, making himself famous as an expert on impossible missions.


A seasoned hunter, his firearms prowess is unmatched, his survival instinct pulled him out of many dangerous situations, but he is not sure his skills will take him out of the mess he's been in recently.


The last mission that the Medici had entrusted to him was to infiltrate a camp of Fauns at the border between Tuscany and Umbria, to kill a dangerous Faun Sorcerer.

Everything went as expected until the Mediceo was in front of the terrible Sorcerer, discovering he was just a baby Faun, with latent and very powerful mental powers.


The Mediceo remained several minutes observing that defenseless puppy in his cradle, unsure on what to do, asking himself if it was right to end such a young life...

The situation worsened shortly, other mercenaries arrived trying to kill the sorcerer, but the baby unleashed his psionic powers.

A vortex of psychic energy blocked all the mercenaries, except for the Mediceo, who immediately grabbed the little faun and disappeared into the forest.

Since then, this strange couple wandered around Italy in search of assignments, but the true purpose of the Mediceo was to understand what kind of lies were behind the assignment that the Medici gave him, why they assigned other Mercenaries for the same purpose!


In the game, the Mediceo will be a new playable hero and will be part of your Company.

His starting class will be the Hunter and he can evolve into a Bounty Hunter or Monster Hunter.

Like every Hero, he will have his own set of 3 basic equipment (his armor and weapons), 2 Hero sheets, and 1 Skill sheet, plus he will have a set of 9 new craftable Special Equipment. Most of his equipment (which can also be used by others Heroes) are fantastic inventions that Leonardo Da Vinci created for the Medici of Florence. Items with spectacular qualities, such as the Automatic Grapple or the Flame-Breath Wrist, will be a great addition to your company arsenal.


The Mediceo skills will represent in-game his abilities as a rifleman and gunslinger, and his cunning and reflexes, which on more than once have saved his life.

As a Bounty Hunter, he will become even more lethal, competing with Sofia as the damage dealer of the group; as a Monster Hunter, the use of traps and high mobility will give him great control of the field, trapping Enemies, blocking Reinforcements Points, and dealing massive damage to larger targets (which will be very useful in Hunt Missions...yes this is a spoiler).


With his 6 Destiny cards, you will discover new details about his history!

What are Destiny cards? We will talk more about them in one of our next updates, for now, we can anticipate that each of them contains a small secret mission, Heroes will be able to complete it during the normal missions, receiving a small reward, and once a card is completed you can move on to the next one until you get the last one, that will give you a final reward!

Thanks to your support Nova Aetas Renaissance will see the light!

Nova Aetas Renaissance has been our very first project, the story began more than 7 years ago. Three friends that, like many of you, were having fun creating home rules for lots of their favourite games.

5 years ago we did our first Kickstarter, from that moment our company had a fantastic growth and moved through lots of changes, more than once we struggled to manage them, we did mistakes and we accepted consequences, we changed, we are changing and we will change again, always trying to learn and improve. But nonethless we always had your support, we have always been so proud to see your enthusiasm.

We moved from being three friends playing games to a team of thirteen professionists who love boardgames.
We moved from a game made for fun to a new and more professional edition.

Nova Aetas Renaissance is really a new game, it keeps using from its predecessor some very good mechanics but it expands those with a new narrative campaign system, managed through mission decks and a plot book.

We are sure you will be excited opening each envelope and revealing what will be your next mission.
One great feature of the game is the option to move smoothly from a tactical combat to interaction with non playing characters, with all the timings and action well managed by the Horologium.

Now the first very important result has been achieved, it's time to have fun!
